The Jags were from Lemars, IA and the band consisted of Walt Clark (Vocals and bass), Dave Puetz (Vocals / Rhythm Gtr), Bob Galles (Lead Gtr) and Jack Hoffman (Dms). Booked to play around dances in their locality, they frequented the LeMars County Club where the place would be packed to the rafters whenever the band played. The Soma record was a local hit and then broke into several cities, mainly Los Angeles where it reached No.# 5 on the LA music charts!

The band were inducted into the Iowa Hall of Fame in 2005.
